WHY HELP?

Anchor 1
The Social
Injustice

Through the decades, although Jamaica as a culture and society may be positive and deeply connected to each other. The appreciation of human rights is highly lacking hence the significant amount of social injustice. Most recently, Jamaica has gained political attention globally for the mistreatment of lesbians and gays. What is more concerning is the number of state-run facilities which house orphan kids, these facilities are not maintained enough and as a result in May 2008, many Jamaicans turned a blind eye on a fire which killed seven orpahns during a fire.
Although this may have been a while ago, as Jamaica celebrates it's 50 years of independence it must also acknowledge a new method of moving forward in an attempt to treat each other equally.

Ephesians 4:29-32 - Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

Jamaica is in need of your support. People in Montego bay do not have a secure environment as they unemployment rate. Jamaicans do not have the the ability to reach their full potential compared to first world countries such as Australia. Their education system is in need of help through the the funding of schools, resources and the the  need of better educated teachers. The gospel tells us to help the the poor people as missionaries who are already helping the the poor are in need of further help. It is our duty to support these missionaries to help foster a secure environment for locals, vocation training, job placement for adults and children’s education.
